There are no bones about it. May was mammoth. In addition to turning a year older (and celebrating in style with my lovely generous friends), I took my second bloggers’ trip to Morocco (Marrakech + Essaouira), hosted an event with Eileen Fisher, visited Edinburgh for a night to review the Sheraton and participate in the Global Toast and saw out the month in Iceland. This is certainly one to remember.
We stayed at the Sofitel, ate loads of delicious food and walked the streets. I couldn’t get enough of all the colours. Beautiful.
Toes, Tiles and Tapis
It wouldn’t be a trip to Morocco without taking loads of photos of the tiles – and whatever else I found to be beautiful beneath my ugly feet.
I did manage to spend a few days in my adopted home town. Spring tried to come out. I tried to make the most of it with bubbles at The Langham‘s Fleurs de Ruinart pop-up and Gatsby-inspired Courvoisier cocktails at Harrods.
It seems that I was quite smitten with my new Eileen Fisher wardrobe while in beautiful Edinburgh. I also fell for the basketball sweets and cakes made especially for me.
And, of course I managed to fit in some time to cook. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s coming up on the blog this week.
On the last day of May, I shot over to Iceland with Wow Air. What an amazing country. I’ve got loads more to share, but here’s a little taster for now.
June is in full swing with loads more travel planned. If you’d like to keep up with me in real time, please join me on Instagram and Twitter. This week, I’m heading to Beirut and later in the month I’ll be hanging out in Umbria. Can’t wait!
All photos were taken on the truly amazing HTC One.
