I don’t wear a lot of jewellery. In fact, most days I get by with my wedding and engagement rings. Coco Chanel and her ‘always take one thing off before you leave the house’ mantra would probably leave me without vital coverage. That being said, I do have a few special pieces that have been given to me over the years, including a vintage silver bangle from Yemen inscribed in both Hebrew and Arabic, this Catbird necklace, rose gold and ruby earrings and such. I treasure each piece – even if I don’t always remember to wear them.
Anyway, this Chrissie I thought I’d share the love with a gift from Dodo. I actually got out of the house last week for an intimate brekkie in the brand’s Sloane Square store. I love Dodo – not only do they produce beautiful, meaningful animal charms (each with their own message), they also sponsor WWF initiatives. After guiding us through the collection, the lovely Dodo people offered me a charm to take home. In a selfless act, I chose a dachshund (I go to any length for you) for a special friend. Hopefully she’ll cherish it like I cherish the bits and pieces given to me.
PS. Don’t you just love my Ciaté nail polish colours in the first picture? They’re from my gorgeous advent calendar – a get well soon present from Alex that keeps on giving (until the 24th, anyway…).
