the decorating diaries: feeling blue

Since recent incidents have rendered my bold DIY plans rain-checked, I’m heading back to the inspiration/research/planning stage of doing up my new flat. I’m not too happy about it, especially since I have to hang out here with my smashed up ankle akimbo surrounded by unpacked boxes and things half done, but at least I have the inspiration rabbit hole to fall down.

So, it’s back to basics. I went to a Dulux event to launch the new season paint colours a few weeks back. I have a love-like-not-so-much-adore relationship with the colour blue. But at the moment it’s in my good books. Here I am all Destiny’s Child ‘Say My Name’ against Sapphire Springs 3. It’s a great, if not brave, hue for a statement wall.

And it got me to thinking about other blue things I love for the home (including inside my wardrobe). Here you go…
