This morning I met Rosie Huntington-Whiteley thanks to a new bow string (AKA contributing to Catherine Kallon‘s Red Carpet Fashion Awards).
Rosie, who was launching her inaugural collection of sexy and covetable lingerie for Mark’s & Spencer’s Autograph line, was as pretty as a picture. I’m talking ladylike, perfect skin and a plummy accent that would steamroll right over my rising intonation and swallowed consonants (Antipodeans, ahoy!). And all of a sudden, I found myself daydreaming about cinched waists, LBDs and…dare, I admit it?… peplums. Yes, this was a temporary new leaf turned. I would go girly. For one day only.
Jump forward a few hours and here I sit. Eyes drooping. Running gear already slightly damp even though I’ve not left the house yet. A mind boggled by so many of my collected images – not one of which fits today’s bill. I don’t have the gumption for it and I admit defeat. Rosie – the LBD, cinched, peplum thing is all you (I would, however, love every piece of you lingerie line). Although I do want every small and unmentionable from her line, the closest I want to get to a topcoat of ladylike glamour is this pattern and colour mismatch. And even this might be pushing it… (a skirt!).
And here’s Rosie looking amazing.
