Last week, while I was taking a stroll along the Southbank on my way to see Munch at Tate Modern, I stopped to take this photo of the underbelly of Blackfriars bridge.

While I was snapping, Sabine, was taking my picture.

To discover that you’ve been watched and photographed is both strange and flattering. It’s very different to looking in a mirror. I can’t really explain why – perhaps it’s a rare opportunity to see yourself how others see you.
The results of such unique encounters aren’t always pleasant, but I love this photo. Particularly because it showcases my All Saints boyfriend jeans. In my household, they’re a contentious, man repelling pair, but I adore them all the same. I also had no idea that I make such a funny face when I’m taking photographs. Surely the sucked in lips are overkill for an iPhone and Instagram?
