hey, anyes galleani, thanks for introducing me to your art

Truth be told, I get a little nervous when artists and photographers and others of a creative ilk write to ask if I’ll feature their work. I’m not a critic by any flex, but (to employ a cliché) I know what I like and that’s the only criteria I use when deciding what to publish. So, it’s with fingers crossed and the best of intentions that I click on these links and prise apart squinty eyes to review what’s on offer.

And, when it’s talented people like Anyes Galleani who’ve tapped my shoulder, I leap out of my chair and chuck a Flashdance (a la Jennifer Beals) for Goose and the guy who’s spent the last three months painting the outside of our building. Oh yes, Anyes’ work (photography, mixed-media collage, paint) is a varied and veritable visual degustation. Yay, for me. And, hopefully, you too.
