When I was at high school, my BFF nicknamed me preying mantis. It was affectionate. I think. She also called me pretzel (the long sticky salty kind). And Centrepoint (after that oh-so iconic now-named Sydney Tower). I was tall (still am). And incredibly thin (no longer). I’d forgotten all about these soubriquets until I saw the Somefield pic below. Love it. And the rest of them too.
Can’t wait to see my Bestie at our reunion in June. I wonder what she’ll come up with this time? Maybe I’ll still be a pretzel (the squatter curly kind).
