Aussies have a thing about going out for breakfast. I have such a great memories of meeting friends for a stack of ricotta and honey pancakes at Bills 2 in Sydney’s Surry Hills, and filling up on prawn-filled dumplings, egg tarts and jasmine tea at one of Haymarket’s Yum Cha (that’s dim sum to many of you) resties.
London, however, has always felt like a late lunch or dinner kind of town. I’m not complaining – I’m ready for food whatever the hour – but I do miss meeting mates with a dillybag bulging with weekend newspapers and a head full of stories from the night before.
It turns out, however, that I have been sorely mistaken. There’s a whole treasure trove of breakfast/brunch hotspots in the city that have passed me by – and I want Will Hide‘s Breakfast and Brunch Secrets so I can find out where they are.

Anyone care to join me? Or perhaps you’d like to suggest your favourite places to dine out in the AM (in case Santa doesn’t shine his light on me)?
I’ve obviously missed a trick…
Will Hide‘s Breakfast & Brunch Secrets: London (£4.99) is available on Amazon or at selected independent bookshops across the city.
