I’ve just come back from four days in the Lake District with my friend, the supremely talented singer/songwriter Nadia Ackerman – and I’m sorry to say we didn’t visit a single mere or water. Instead, we used our time away from the big smoke (my London, her New York) to lay the foundations for a book that we’re working on together about her life. We’re not ready to give away too much yet, but we thought you might like to see a little of what we got up to.
It’s going to be a busy next couple of weeks. I’m now back to putting the finishing touches on the final draft my novel, and then I’ll move straight onto the proposal and first couple of chapters for this book. And then, it’s my turn to head Stateside. No rest of the wicked – or the impoverished.

Nadia and I would like to say a huge thank you to the Hawkin family for letting us stay in their cottage for the weekend. It was the perfect place for us to get some good work done. We owe you one.

Great photographs. Isn’t it the Lakes district?
