Just the sight of the new DoDo emporium on Chelsea’s Sloane Square made me smile last night. Through the rain (and the pain of walking through puddles in my favourite pair of Manolos), the colours drew me inside. After all that London grey, I was easy prey for their hues of lime green, cobalt blue, burnt orange, and blood red.
The brand too, is right up my street. Dodo was born in 1995 to renowned Italian jeweller Pomellato with a strong ethical purpose at its heart – wildlife preservation (hence the name and its 16-year affiliation with the WWF). I also love how the individual charms tell their own story – as all good accessories should (I rarely garnish myself with anything unless it has meaning).
