I’m in a bit of a mood because it’s the Sunday of a glorious long weekend and I I haven’t stopped working yet. Although I’m enjoying the writing (novel and otherwise), photographing, and styling malarkies, I do wish for the return of those simpler weekends I was having a while back – the ones less cluttered with obligations and more littered with friends and gravy stained plates. Like, when a bunch of my mates and I went for a pub lunch at the glorious Canton Arms back in April. Those were the days.

The last one’s for you so you can find the pub if you ever get lost in south London. Or you can click here. Whatever’s easier.
(And yes I did start the meal off with a Bloody Mary. I couldn’t help it. I’m a sucker for anything spicy…oh, and vodka’s OK too.)
And wouldn’t you know it. I’ve just had a call and now I’m off to meet some friends. I’m heading north this time. Who knows what I’ll discover?
Oh, and if you feel inclined to make a comment below, I’d be ever so grateful.
If you like i am not a celebrity, why not become a fan on Facebook
or follow Kate on Twitter?

I want lunch at this pub!
Novel? WTF? Do tell.
Malarkies. Gold.
I reckon you’d love it. Come over to London and we’ll get a clutch of poms together and we’ll go. On that day, we had a slow cooked leg of beef for nine people – and we all got a doggy bag. We’ve previously had the duck, pork and lamb too. All golden.
And yes, the novel malarkey is in full swing. I have to have my first draft finished by early July. A blissful torture of sorts.
Love the jars of damson gin etc. We made some of our own (in an identical jar!) last year with damsons from the boyf’s aunt’s garden. Delish. You should come round and try some. x
Name the time and place, Miss Jessica. I’m there. x
