Another day, another pun. As you may have guessed, this post is all about TK Maxx. I went along to their press day earlier this week where I was reminded of what a great job they do in sourcing pieces from huge designers as well as High Street brands – and all that comes in between.
They have such a huge range – and there’s definitely something for everyone, even if you think it won’t suit you at first. Just ask my friend Carolyn. I went to the Charing Cross Road branch with her and her mum a little while back. While perusing the racks, we came across a pencil skirt. If I remember rightly, the fabric was printed with a light grey reptilian pattern and the front was gathered up into a kind of bow that sits at the waist. It sounds ghastly and she took one look at it and shook her head, but I forced her to try it on and she had to have it. I caught up with her last weekend and she told me how much she still loves it. Job done.
Of course, I never practice what I preach. I hate trying stuff on in shops – I’m a do-what-I- say-don’t-do-what-I-do kind of woman. Ah well. Enough of my Saturday morning ramblings. Here are the photos. As always, tell me below what you think of the post. It’s so nice to know I’m not alone.
