I’ve always found it tough after a holiday to get back into the swing of things at home. After 10 days in southern Italy – where I ceremoniously turned off my iPhone for the duration – I literally came back to thousands of emails, huge deadlines, exciting new projects and the realisation that I needed to work day and night on my novel if I’m ever going to get it finished by the July deadline. Something had to give while I tried to get back on top of things – hence my dishonourable neglect of i am not a celebrity.
Thankfully, that overwhelming feeling has passed and I’m back on track. I’ve got loads of stuff that I need to post, but first I thought I’d share some photos from our glorious trip. We flew to Rome for a few days, joined friends in a villa for a week in Cilento and headed down the coast by train to the seaside port town of Tropea. We visited ruins, we played cards, we swam in the sea, we drank Moretti and wine, we cooked up storms, we stayed up late and slept for as long as we needed to, and we ate, ate and ate some more. Delish.

Lovely photos Kate, they are so Italian and yet they remind me of home. It’s the Mediterranean air…
For me it’s more about the light than the air. There’s something so beautiful about it. So hard to put into words.
I LOVE that beautiful European light!!!
Great photos, hope you had a lovely time xxx
