reach out and touch

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I’m a very touchy-feely person. If I see something bright, shiny, furry, rough, smooth, or bumpy, I find it very difficult to keep my hands to myself. That confession probably sounds dirty to some (most?), but in this instance I’m talking about clothes – and luxurious Italian pieces at that. It’s time to raise your minds from the catacombs, friends.

Yesterday, I spent a glorious hour in the company of Giorgio Armani’s eponymous AW2011 collection and his more accessible (read: affordable) brand, Emporio Armani. Both offerings – the former based around the idea of a boudoir and the latter on espionage and the femme fatale – were littered with exquisite texture and detailing. Here are some of my favourite examples. Unfortunately, I wasn’t allowed to take anything away with me, but I did leave behind lots of fingerprints.

Thanks to Jill from Street Style London for all the smiles and the company, and to Karmen from Emporio Armani for making me feel so welcome.

I couldn’t resist: this is a beautiful post. Was thinking last night that I’d do my post before I saw yours so I wouldn’t be influenced. It’s funny.. well you’ll see when you see mine. Of course I’m influenced. Inspired. It’s a great collection and they did a perfect press event.
